NJ CONSUMER COMPLIANCE NOTICE

This policy is crafted in compliance with the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (N.J.S.A. 56:8-1 et seq.). Our 30-day return window exceeds the minimum 20-day statutory period required under New Jersey law. This policy applies to all purchases made through www.district-98.com for products sold under the District 98 LLC, District 98, The District Studio, and D98 brand names.

1. POLICY OVERVIEW

At District 98 LLC, we stand behind the quality of every product we sell under the District 98, The District Studio, and D98 brand names. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a straightforward return and refund process.

2. RETURN ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet ALL of the following:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery
  • Unworn and unwashed
  • Original tags still attached
  • Not a final sale or clearance item
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

NOT eligible for return:

  • Items returned after 30 days
  • Worn, washed, or altered items
  • Items with removed tags
  • Final sale or clearance items
  • Gift cards

FINAL SALE ITEMS — NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES: Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance" at the time of purchase are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds under any circumstances. This disclosure is made at the point of sale as required by NJ law (N.J.S.A. 56:8-2.13).

3. DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT ITEMS

Under New Jersey law and our commitment to quality, defective products and incorrect orders are fully covered regardless of sale status or return window. If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item from any of our brands (District 98, The District Studio, D98), you are entitled to a full refund or free replacement at no cost to you. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the defect. We will cover all return shipping costs.

4. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN

Step 1 — Email support@district-98.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and your reason for return. Include photos if the item is defective.

Step 2 — Our team will review your request within 2 business days and send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Do not send items back without an RMA — unauthorized returns will not be processed.

Step 3 — Pack the item securely with your RMA number clearly written on the outside of the package and ship to the address provided.

Step 4 — Once received, we will inspect the item within 2-3 business days.

Step 5 — Upon approval, your refund or exchange will be processed within 5-10 business days.

5. REFUND OPTIONS

Option A — Full Refund: Refund to your original payment method within 5-10 business days after we receive and approve the return.

Option B — Store Credit (Recommended): Receive 100% store credit plus a 10% bonus credit as our thank you. Store credit never expires and can be used on any future purchase at district-98.com across all our brands.

Option C — Exchange: Exchange for a different size, color, or item of equal or lesser value. Exchanges are subject to product availability.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

6. EXCHANGES

Exchanges are available for a different size or color of the same item (subject to availability) or an item of equal or lesser value. To request an exchange, follow the same return process and clearly state "EXCHANGE" in your email.

7. DOMESTIC VS. INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

Domestic (United States): All three refund options are available. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

International Returns: International customers are eligible for store credit or exchange only. Cash refunds are not available for international orders. Return shipping costs are entirely the customer's responsibility.

8. CHARGEBACK AND DISPUTE POLICY

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly at support@district-98.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Filing a fraudulent chargeback for an item that was legitimately delivered constitutes chargeback fraud and may constitute criminal fraud under New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 2C:21-6). District 98 LLC reserves the right to dispute all fraudulent chargebacks, permanently ban customers who file fraudulent chargebacks, pursue legal action, and report fraudulent chargebacks to fraud prevention services.

9. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER NEW JERSEY LAW

As a New Jersey-based business, District 98 LLC is subject to the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (N.J.S.A. 56:8-1 et seq.). You have the right to a clearly disclosed return policy at the point of sale, protection against deceptive or unfair business practices, and the right to file a complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs if you believe your rights have been violated.
